Mountain Escape

When Californians need to get away, they take their west coast style with them. Collaborating with Bob White of Forest Studio and Janet Jarvis of The Jarvis Group, it took nearly 3 years to complete this Sun Valley retreat, designed as an extended family gathering place in the mountains. Blending an easy, relaxed style with the timeless aesthetic of a European rustic farmhouse, everything in the home flows from a 1,000 square foot great room, complete with custom steel bookcases and reclaimed beams to complement the worn oak floorboards. Every material was hand-selected with care and great attention to detail, creating harmony of architecture and interiors.
